This will be the debut independent documentary film for both Nicole Noren and Paula Lavigne, who are journalists for the ESPN newsmagazine program, Outside the Lines. Between the two of them, they have been honored with some of the top journalism and TV investigative awards in the business; including National Emmys, Murrow Awards, a duPont Award, etc.

Lavigne and Noren are frequently invited to speak on national panels about reporting on campus sexual assault. In 2014, their story about the University of Missouri’s handling of a sexual assault case involving a former football player took First Place in the Broadcast Investigative Reporting category in the National Awards for Education Reporting. Lavigne’s recent reporting on the Baylor University sex scandal, has prompted substantial institutional change, including Ken Starr losing his job as school president, and football head coach Art Briles being fired.

More specific to health topics, Noren was awarded the 2015 Media Award from Mental Health America for her story on a college swimmer who battled borderline personality disorder, and is a recipient of the 2016-2017 Rosalynn Carter Fellowship in Mental Health Journalism.
